Tool Workshop

Tools for bushcraft come in all shapes and sizes and from the latest stainless steel knifes to traditional flint tools. On this course we will look at selecting the right tool for the right job and how using the tool effectively will ensure the safe use and prolong it's working life. You don't need to buy top price tools, there are some really cost effective alternatives which we will use and compare against more expensive brands.

This one day course will also provide you with the skills to make some basic bushcraft tools that are essential for processing materials for use at camp or on the trail. Looking after your tools is an essential skill to ensure that they remain in top condition, this is not just the metal parts. We will look at sharpening at a base camp and also on the trail. There are natural materials that you will learn how to harvest and process to create oils for maintaining your tools.

Some of the tools we will look at include:

  • Bushcraft Knives
  • Folding Saws
  • Axes
  • Froes
  • Bow saws

The price for this course is £55 per person as a special introductory offer:
